Liquidity & Redemptions

How and when you can redeem your vault tokens based on asset liquidity.

Vault liquidity refers to how quickly users can redeem their vault tokens for underlying stablecoins. Nest offers multiple vault types, each with different redemption timelines that depend on the underlying assets.

How Redemptions Work

  1. Mint: You receive a vault token (e.g., nETF) in exchange for staking pUSD.

  2. Hold: The vault token accrues yield over time.

  3. Redeem: When you're ready, you can redeem your vault token for your share of the vault’s assets, plus yield earned.

Redemption Timing and Tracking

All redepmption requests and their status are viewable in the app. Nest vaults fall into two general categories based on liquidity:

Same Day Liquidity

  • Redemption is completed in the same transaction or within a few blocks.

  • Backed by highly liquid assets that trade on public markets.

  • Ideal for users who need quick access to funds.

Variable Liquidity

  • Redemptions may take 7-10 days to finalize, depending on asset type.

  • Assets earn yield until redemption request is processed by the vault.

  • Users are notified of expected wait times in the app before confirming a redemption.
